Conception of Mészáros Lázár, the minister of war during the revolution and freedom fight in 1848 on modern Hungarian military education, which aimed to establish such a unique military educational facility, where ’practical and scientific individuals’ would have been educated are realized by Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University by now.
The unique feature of our institute is proven by the education, training and further education of commissioned professionals is our basic task national defence, law enforcement and national security fields beyond the military education. By now the knowledge enriching and transferring obligation of the high level educational institutes is augmented with capabilities tailored to the expectations of the labour market and the economy, this way our education is compleated with ’civilian’ security and defence policy, defence administration, management and engineer faculties.
Our education system against the significant changes and qualitative evolvement still could not reach its final form. For the sake of improving our labour market competitiveness, the developments of the requirements of life long learning and electronic learning is regarded as a special task.
Our straggling education is not only represented well by its various forms, but the variegation of students, where cadets, the already commissioned and civilian students can equally be found.
Further to the above educations numerous courses are held, which facilitates the professional proficiency of the participants on the one hand, but on the other hand these can improve their language and computer user skills.
Educations offered by our University are extended to distance education, during which numerous multimedia distance education curriculum can be learnt with the assistance of the Internet and the distinguished teachers’ staff.
To facilitate the efficient and fruitful education, special attention is paid to establish a dynamic teachers’ staff, as well as to the exploitation of modern education techniques.
